Playschool in El Sobrante

We are a family daycare home dedicated to the WALDORF Philosophy.

Our preschool / kindergarten program is from 8:30am to 1pm Tuesday through Friday. Daycare hours are in addition to the preschool program till 5:30pm. Monday can be made available for families that need all five days of the week. We create a loving environment through natural materials, harmonious colors and beautiful seasonal decoration. Also by using child appropriate language (speaking in images), gentle singing, rhymes and verses. Our most important form of discipline is a predictable regular schedule of alternating guided and free activities, thus creating a natural rhythm (like breathing or the heartbeat) on which to merrily flow through the day. The delicious food we serve is based on whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and is mostly organic.

Tuition is calculated for the academic year from September to June 
of the following year, and is for the actual preschool/kindergarten
program 8:30am till 1pm.

Tuition increments are prepaid at the beginning of the month 
and there is no refund for sick or vacation days, even if you
give notice ahead of time. Exception to this rule is for summer care.
Summer care is paid separately, and participants have the option to 
pay by the day, week or all at once. 

The preschool is closed the second weeks of the winter and
spring break of the East Bay Waldorf School (paid
vacation) and the second half of July and through
August (unpaid).

For naptime 1pm to 3pm the charge will be $10. Again
there will be a reduction the more prepaid naptimes
you have your child spend here per month. I am
available for extended childcare if necessary, for $5
per hour.
